Reliant EMS is a non-profit, charitable emergency medical services agency working to secure the funding necessary to begin full operational service to the community.

Description

Reliant EMS is seeking a volunteer Grant Writer to help us obtain funding to launch and sustain our essential programs. This is a unique opportunity to play a foundational role in a growing nonprofit dedicated to public health and emergency response.

The Grant Writer will research funding opportunities, draft compelling proposals, and collaborate with leadership to secure grants that will support startup costs, medical equipment, training, and community outreach initiatives.

Your work will directly contribute to bringing lifesaving EMS services to our community.

Responsibilities
  • Research and identify public and private grant opportunities relevant to emergency medical services and community health
  • Prepare, write, and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents
  • Maintain a grant tracking system including submission deadlines, reporting requirements, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop budgets, narratives, and justifications for funding requests
  • Assist in building templates and reusable materials for future grant submissions
  • Help identify potential partnerships and funding collaborations with other organizations
Qualifications
  • Excellent writing, editing, and research skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Experience with grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development (preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with foundations, government grants, or corporate giving programs is helpful
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Passion for helping charitable organizations and improving access to emergency medical care
